Enigma Communications completes website content for global company Purico

Purico-Group---One-of-the-biggest-private-family-enterprises-in-the-UK

The new website of one of Britain’s biggest and most successful private enterprises has gone live with content supplied by Enigma Communications.

Purico hired us to describe its complex global operation across three continents and seven sectors for its freshly designed site.

The brief was to make the text accessible for everyone from the conglomerate’s own shop floor workers to customers and potential investors.

Enigma Communications’ content editor Claire Shanahan said: “It was a challenging commission simply because of the diversity of the operation. The group owns a string of companies in Europe, America and Asia, employing thousands of people in the automotive, construction, paper, hotel and leisure and care sectors. It also has a substantial property and investment portfolio, as well as an active charitable arm which distributes an average of £500,000 a year to good causes, mainly in the UK, India, Nepal and Africa. All of this needed to be described in detail, along with the story of the founder, Nat Puri, and how he started the business which the client wanted to be featured prominently on the home page.

“This involved us absorbing a huge amount of information and condensing that into digestible chunks which visitors to the site, including Purico employees, could read to learn about the group’s different activities and its history.

“Early on in our discussions with the company we discovered that wherever you are in the world you are likely to come across a Purico Group product. For example, Purico is the sole supplier of the Mercedes and VW badge. It is also one of the world’s largest manufacturers of tea bag, coffee filtration and sausage casing papers. It was these sorts of facts that fired our imagination and gave us a strong hook for the content.”
